Route Map

Day 1: Arrival in PALERMO

Arrival at Palermo airport, welcome and transfer to the hotel, free time.

Day 2: PALERMO > MONREALE

Breakfast, visit the Sicilian capital, one of the richest cities in history and art. A walk through the heart of Palermo will show you the city's jewels: the Cathedral, the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel inside. In the afternoon, continue to Monreale to visit the Cathedral and the adjoining Cloister. Optionally, you can take an excursion to Monte Pellegrino to visit the Sanctuary of Saint Rosalia and enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the gulf.

Day 3: SEGESTA > SELINUNTE

Breakfast and departure to Segesta, where two famous monuments from the 3rd and 5th centuries BC are located. Start with the Theatre, reached after a nice uphill walk, with a rewarding view. Then continue a short distance to the solitary Temple, perfectly integrated into the landscape. Visit Selinunte, the largest archaeological park in the Mediterranean, full of columns and remains of huge Greek temples.

Day 4: AGRIGENTO > PIAZZA ARMERINA

Breakfast. In the morning, visit Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples. See the Temple of Concordia, Temple of Hercules, Temple of Juno, and Temple of Castor and Pollux. Continue to Piazza Armerina to admire the priceless Roman mosaics in the Villa Romana del Casale.

Day 5: ENNA > CEFALÙ

Breakfast. Morning visit to Enna, the highest provincial capital in Italy. Visit the Lombardy Castle, Tower of Frederick II, and the Cathedral. Late morning transfer to Cefalù, elegant tourist center, famous for its artistic and monumental jewels: the Norman Cathedral, the XII-century Cloister attached to the Cathedral, and the Medieval Washhouse carved into rock. Free time for shopping.

Day 6: LIPARI > VULCANO

Breakfast, early morning transfer to Milazzo to board for Lipari and begin the motorboat excursion to the two islands. Visit Lipari Castle, Monte Rosa, and Canneto, then stop at the pumice caves for a swim. Continue along Acquacalda and Vulcano, passing Vulcanello and the Valley of Monsters. Admire the Black Sands bay and the Gran Crater of the active volcano. Finish at Levante port, explore the village, take a mud bath or climb the crater (optional). Return to Milazzo.

Day 7: FORZA D’AGRÒ > TAORMINA

Breakfast and transfer to Forza D’Agrò, a medieval village near Taormina, rich in art, history, and culture, also known for "The Godfather" film. Visit the Norman Castle and then proceed to Taormina for a restorative walk through the characteristic streets. Founded in the 4th century BC by the Siculi, later a Greek and Roman city. Famous for its III-century BC theatre with incomparable panoramic views.

Day 8: CATANIA > Departure

Breakfast and free time until transfer to the airport.

The ideal period for the Aeolian Islands excursion is April to October.
The excursion is subject to weather conditions.
Boats used are motorboats, hydrofoils, and ships, not exclusively reserved. Delays may occur during peak periods.
