Breakfast, departure to Siracusa, the largest Greek colony in Sicily. Visit the Neapolis Archaeological Park, Ortigia Island with its famous Fountain of Arethusa, and the impressive Ear of Dionysius (with extraordinary acoustic effects). In the afternoon, transfer to Noto, UNESCO heritage site, cradle of Sicilian Baroque.
Breakfast, departure to Piazza Armerina to visit the splendid Roman Villa del Casale, famous for its priceless mosaics. Continue to Agrigento to admire the sunset over the Valley of the Temples, Sicily’s most important archaeological site.
Breakfast, departure to Selinunte, the largest archaeological park in the Mediterranean. Continue to Segesta to enjoy views of the theater and the imposing solitary temple outside the city walls.
Breakfast, visit Palermo, the “capital” of Sicily, rich in history and art. Continue to Monreale to visit the Cathedral and Cloister, the pride of the city.
Breakfast, visit the elegant town of Cefalù with its Norman Cathedral and 12th-century Cloister. Short stop at Tindari to visit the Sanctuary hosting the Byzantine statue of the Black Madonna, overlooking the Marinello Lakes below.
Breakfast, excursion to Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. Short stop in Catania, followed by transfer to Taormina for a walk in the historic streets and visit to the Greek Theatre with breathtaking panoramic views.
Breakfast, free day until transfer to the airport.
