DAY 1: ARRIVAL > SEGESTA > ERICE

Arrival in the morning at Palermo, departure for Segesta to visit the Doric-Sicilian Temple of the 5th century BC and the Greek Theatre of the 3rd century BC. Continue to Erice, a small and charming medieval town situated on the top of Mount San Giuliano, notable for the Cathedral with its stunning 1312 bell tower and the picturesque streets of the characteristic medieval village.

DAY 2: MARSALA > SELINUNTE > AGRIGENTO

Breakfast at the hotel, early departure for the visit to the Salt Pans of Marsala where the windmills reflect in the salt basins. Optional visit to the island of Mothia. Continue the Marsala tour, the city of the landing of the Thousand and of the fine fortified wine, visit the archaeological museum famous for the wreck of the Punic warship of the 3rd century BC. Before reaching Selinunte, an optional visit to Mazara del Vallo can be made, an important Sicilian port. The old historic center, once enclosed by the Norman walls, includes numerous monumental churches, some dating back to the 11th century, and a district with an Islamic urban layout typical of the medinas, called Casbah. The visit to the Dancing Satyr Museum is a must in Mazara del Vallo. The museum is named after its most prestigious piece, the Dancing Satyr, a bronze statue, original product of Greek classical or Hellenistic art. Selinunte, the largest archaeological park in the Mediterranean, has columns and ruins of colossal Greek temples, located near the river mouth where wild parsley (Selinon) still grows, which gave its name to the river and the city.

Continue to Agrigento arriving in time to witness the sunset and enjoy the spectacle of the sun setting behind the temples of the ancient Greek city. The Valley of the Temples is the most important archaeological area in Sicily, including the Temple of Concord, the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Juno, and the Temple of Castor and Pollux.

DAY 3: CEFALÙ > MONREALE

Breakfast at the hotel, early departure for Cefalù, an elegant seaside town and renowned international tourist center, also known for its artistic and monumental treasures: the Norman Cathedral, the elegant 12th-century Cloister annexed to the Cathedral, and the Medieval Washhouse entirely carved into the rock. In the afternoon, visit Monreale, where the Cathedral and the adjacent Cloister will be visited.

DAY 4: PALERMO > DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel, visit the Sicilian capital Palermo, one of the cities richest in history and art. In particular, visit the Cathedral, the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Norman Palace and its Palatine Chapel. Free time until transfer to Palermo airport.
